And Here We Sit...

We are entering week 2 of our limited contact with one another and our distance in fellowship with the Church. This is an unprecedented time that we are living through. As new reports and new cases of the Coronavirus emerge each day we may have many emotions about what is taking place. Some are still leary, others are panicked, some are content, others are stir crazy. As each day brings a change to our normal pattern of living we can easily become frustrated or even hopeless. So as we sit and wait...what can we do?

I must say that not meeting together impacts our daily lives. We all miss services from time to time but we always anticipate the next time we can gather together. This situation is different. With so much uncertainty surrounding this pandemic we are not sure when and if our lives will return to normal. Well as "normal" as our lives are! And though for the short term (this should be our prayer) we are separated from fellowship there are still many ways we can connect and support our church.

Lets begin by praying for one another. We all have needs and some of our family at Brushfork have physical conditions we have already been praying about. Continue to pray for them! Pray for our families with children too. This has caused a great change in their routine. Pray consistently at that same time everyday during this season.

Second worship. Worship in your homes with immediate family. Do this through reading together and even go as far as singing together! Sing whatever is your music of choice! But sing!! Worship is a great way to be reminded God is in CONTROL!

Finally give. Give encouragement through a call, text, or email! If the Lord presents an opportunity give to someone who financially may be impacted through this. Also remember the church will still have financial obligations even in our time apart.

God states in

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

In Christ
